Assisted hatching is the process of opening a hole in the membrane surrounding the embryo. This process is an additional method used, especially in cases where the membrane surrounding the embryo is thick and in cases where the patient is treated at the age of 35 or older, has a history of unsuccessful treatment, and for the PGT process where a biopsy is taken from the embryo. With this method, the success of the embryo to implant to the endometrium, the inner wall of the uterus, is increased.
Hatching is applied physically, chemically, or by laser. Among these methods, the one with the highest control and success is the laser shaving method used in our centre.
In our centre, we perform assisted hatching for all suitable embryos free of charge.
